If the email exceeds the mailbox limit, multiple emails, each with a single photo attached will be sent.
How long does it take to get photos? Currently, the average turnaround time is five (5) business days. Some requests may be delivered the next day, while others may taker up to five or six days. Inclement weather will affect delivery time. Due to unrelenting traffic delays experienced in Fairfield County, especially lower Fairfield County, the service level provided in Fairfield County has been modified. Multiple attempts may be required to complete requests. Turnaround times in Fairfield County can be up to and possibly beyond two weeks. For rush delivery see What if photos are needed urgently?
Does weather affect the photos? YES! PhotoDocs is unable to provide quality photos when it is raining or snowing, or during periods of heavy fog. All requests will be held until the weather improves. Weather delay days are not figured into the average turnaround times listed above.
Will PhotoDocs contact the homeowner? PhotoDocs always attempts to contact the homeowner or occupant upon arrival by ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door before photographing a property. If no one is home, PhotoDocs will proceed without gaining permission to access the property. If someone is home, it is explained that the insurance agent has requested PhotoDocs take photos for the insurance policy. If the homeowner has any questions, they are directed to contact their insurance agent.
